We asked some of the Triplex family a little bit about their experience Training with us. Here is what Danielle Poland had to say.
What brought you to Triplex Training?
I was finally ready to take control of my health/fitness and knew in order to stay committed, I needed a place to fit certain criteria. I wanted a group setting, classes led by someone knowledgeable in health/fitness, located in my community, and welcoming of all people regardless of size and ability.
What was your fitness level/lifestyle before joining Triplex Training?
I am someone who is constantly on the go but always made excuses to not workout while allowing myself to eat whatever I wanted. My fitness level did not go too far beyond walking long distances and dancing on tabletops.
What did you expect to get out of Triplex Training?
Nothing special really; just a workout that would challenge me and I would drag my feet having to go to.
What did you get out of Triplex Training that you didn’t expect?
Accountability, encouragement, support, people who genuinely care about you and your fitness. On day 1 I was so scared walking in, thinking I was going to stick out as the fat girl who can’t keep up and be easily dismissed by the trainers. I could not have been more wrong. Kyle and Alex really focus on each person to make sure you are doing what is best for you and modify when necessary. Most importantly, I certainly did not think I would see the physical results as quickly as I have and I cannot put into words how much my self-confidence has increased.
What is your fitness level/lifestyle after joining Triplex Training?
I am still constantly on the go but make sure to schedule things around my workouts. My body actually craves it now! If I go more than 2 days without a workout, I can feel it. Though I still have a long way to go, my fitness level has definitely increased and has even managed to surprise me a few times! I look forward to participating in activities centered around fitness when I am ready.
What should potential clients know about Triplex Training?
This is not your typical gym in the least. It is not cross-fit and the only intimidation factor comes into play when you challenge and push yourself. Triplex feels like its own little community. The amount of encouragement and support from everyone is a great motivator to push harder. I am working out next to some amazing athletes and never feel out of place. The hour spent at Triplex is better than any hour I could ever spend at a gym.
